via Rhone.com

While it did just snow again across the east coast of the US, warmer weather is coming, it HAS TO. So make sure you are prepared for the impending beach season with a new pair of trunks. These 7-inch trunks from Rhone are unlined, aka no abrasive mesh rubbing your soft spots. The 7-inch inseam is perfect for guys 5'7"-6'1" who are looking to tan the mid-upper thigh, which is always a war of attrition. In terms of fabric, they are a quick- drying nylon with a healthy dose of spandex to give you the range of motion needed to run go-routes and not impede a morning beach yoga practice.

Brave Star Selvage Tapered Chinos

via bravestarselvage.com

via bravestarselvage.com

If you are fan of raw selvedge denim like we are, then these chinos will be right up your alley. Not your typical J.Crew workday chinos, these are made from 9oz army-issue selvedge twill, meaning they are fairly light and durable, and will last longer than your normal chinos. They have a more extreme taper from the knee down, perfect for the guys that need a little room in the thighs but like to have a slimmer silhouette around the calves and ankle. These are also complete with loads of detail, from the button fly and flap pockets, to the selvedge (or salvage) detail along the coin pocket and inner leg seam, these are truly a unique pair of chinos you won't find at your larger fashion houses... yet.

Available on BraveStarSelvage.com for $89

Everlane Pique Pocket Tee

via Everlane.com

via Everlane.com

You are a culmination of your parents; your Mom's nose, Dad's forehead, and the cheekbones of your grandfather. This Pique Tee from Everlane was made in the same vein, with it's parent's being a common pique Polo and a standard crew neck, creating something unique. The basic construction and silhouette are distinctly crew neck tee while the fabric is typical of a pique polo, adding a more waffle-esque texture and sturdier body. They threw away the polo collar and kept the in-set pocket, making this a truly unique shirt in a color that is ready for spring. we suggest wearing this with white or navy chinos and nice pair of sunnies.

Wrangler Raw Skinny-Fit Selvedge Jeans

via wrangler.com

via wrangler.com

We've had our heads in Denim quite frequently as of late. While we have tried to venture away from the indigo twill, we can't seem to stay away for long. If you haven't read our deep dive into jeans and what makes a great pair, be sure to check it out here. These selvedge raw denim jeans from wrangler are an ode to the old way of making jeans, manufactured in the only large format selvedge denim factory left in the states. These jeans are made in the same place as the Levis selvedge lines and are sold at the same exact price point. The big difference here is cut. If you want an American-made, skinnier, more modern fit, with a slightly lower rise than you can get with the Levis line, then these are for you. Also be aware, these come with a button fly and are truly skinny jeans. If you have a set of tree trunks for thighs, we suggest going with the slim instead.

The Tie Bar Brown Leather Lapel Pin

via thetiebar.com

Details like this leather pin from the tie bar are a great example of the "extra 10%" of effort we say really transforms your look from "good" to "great." Adding the small details to an outfit is a tiny investment, in terms of time and effort, that repays you in a large way once it's all put together. This leather pin is a great addition for the more rugged guy that  wants to add an element that states "I work with my hands" without shouting it. If lapel flowers are too frilly for you, but you still want to add details, this is a great alternative.

BC Burnings Dude, Breathe. Flag

via BcBurnings.com

via BcBurnings.com

We all could use a reminder every now and then (for some every day) to just pause and breathe through what ever it is we are going through. Whether its stress at work, tensions with the family, or spats with your significant other, taking a moment to focus on yourself and just breathe it all out is a great way to avoid exploding on unsuspecting pedestrians we encounter during our daily trails and tribulations. This flag serves as that reminder, and adds a great vibe to any room in your living space. Specs: Each flag from BC Burnings is coffee dyed for an antiqued look and they are hand painted, aka as authentic as you can get without happening on a really ahead-of-its-time flag in a barn in the middle of Minnesota.

Available on BCBurnings.com for $50
