To fight against the turning temperatures we present you with this ultra soft, not unbearably hot, wool-linen scarf from Grayers. This medium-weight scarf is 70% wool and 30% linen, making it soft, warm, and breathable as to not cause an abundance of sweat around your neck but shelter you from the chilling breezes to come as Autumn settles itself in.

Full Disclosure: We don't make any money off of this soft neck warmer, we just like and think you will too.

J.Crew V-Neck Cashmere Sweater

Jcrew Hearth Grey vneck cashmere sweater.jpeg

You're going out on a group outing to a rooftop bar in October, it's 78 degrees during the day but will likely dip into the 60's after the sun goes down. You have to go to work before heading to the bar and the office is a balmy 76 degrees thanks to Charlie and Jane, the two perennially cold people who are friends with the office manager. How does one prep for this? Easy- pack this J.Crew cashmere sweater in your bag and be prepared for it all. Its super soft, and goes with almost any shirt you need to layer, collared or not. The only rub with this is that it's dry-clean only, so keep that in mind the next time you go to the cleaners. Plus a cashmere sweater for under $100 is a pretty decent find, so snag this while you can, and be prepared for your happy hour chill out.

Everyone can use a new v-neck t-shirt, especially in this color. It can be paired with pretty much any pant you have in your closet, like jeans (dark or light), or chinos (in white, gray, khaki, navy, maroon, we can go on), or Corduroys in pretty much any earth tone. This is also a great layer for the Fall weather, if it ever shows up, with either of the flannels we've posted in the past couple of days or a great base layer for a bomber jacket, again, if the mercury ever decides to retreat. This DSTLD v-neck is made of 100% cotton, produced in LA, and has gotten a lot of attention from publications across the web and men's mags.

Bonobos Navy Summer Weight Stretch Chinos

Via bonobos.com

Via bonobos.com

Normally we'd be giving you plenty of thicker-lined pants options for October, but the heat has stuck around for most of the continental US, so why not give you some lightweight chinos you can rock for another 6 weeks. These chinos are durable, stretchy, and super comfortable. The ones we have in our closets are easily daily wearers and with a quick iron they look just as good as any semi-formal pant in your closet; perfect for work, running errands, and play. We suggest you get the tailored fit if you are looking for a skinnier profile, though if you are thick in the trunks the slim cut should do the trick. Right now, these bad boys are on final sale, so snag a pair before they are gone!

Available on sale at bonobos.com for $68 (on sale from $98)

United By Blue Pinnacle Plaid Flannel Button Down

Via Unitedbyblue.com

Via Unitedbyblue.com

I know, I know, we just posted a flannel a couple of days ago! But, we had to show you this one. It's a bit more expensive than the one we posted from Uniqlo, but the feel and fit of this button-down made this a must-share. The shoulders have just the right amount room for someone with a decent build and the silhouette cuts in at the hips just the right amount without causing a billowing pocket of fabric in the back. The collar has buttons, a must for us when looking for a soft-cotton shirt. The double breast pocket design adds utility while the box pleat in the back gives you some added room to move, meaning it will be perfect for a weekend trek or a weekday happy hour if you have any bars with a rooftop still open. We suggest you wear this with dark wash blue jeans or darker tan chinos or layer it with a simple-colored pocket T. As a reminder, with every purchase from United by Blue they will remove 1 pound of trash form a US park or waterway which just makes you feel good!

Available on Unitedbyblue.com for $78

Scotch & Soda Mott Stretch Super Slim Chinos

Scotch and Soda Mott Chinos stretch Comb B.jpg

Feel like making a statement but don't have the right piece to do it? Consider your problem solved. These Mott Chinos scream "I'm edgy and it's fall!" which is perfect for the guy looking to make an impression when you enter the local Biergarten or adult bowling alley. These super slim chinos are 98% cotton and 2% elastane meaning they will breathe a bit and stretch where you need it so the slim cut doesn't impede movement. The dark brown, intricate diamond pattern is sure to be unique in almost any room you enter, making you even more so. These pants will be fairly tight and come in longer leg sizes, so those with larger thighs or shorter legs will experience an interesting fit. As a side note, the belt comes with it! We suggest you wear these with a solid dark green t-shirt or a white t-shirt with a dark blue bomber jacket.

Uniqlo Checkered Flannel

via Uniqlo.com

via Uniqlo.com

The temperatures are lowering, meaning it's time to start adding the warm layers back into the daily rotation. While there are many takes on the fall classic, this cheaper, yet just-as-soft option from Uniqlo is a bit of a steal compared to the price points of many other brands that are just as soft. This specific flannel has a button down collar helping it maintain its shape, which tends to be an issue for the shirts made of a softer cotton material. We suggest you layer this with a plain white T and a pair of jeans, and hey there Delilah you got yourself a classic American outfit good for a trek to the coffee shop or the casual house party.

Available on Uniqlo.com for $30

Jack Wills No-show Socks

via Jackwills.com

via Jackwills.com

If you are the proud owner of vans low tops, loafers, or drivers and you don't have at least a few pairs of no-show socks, we need to have a talk. No-shows are the silent, unseen heroes of low cut shoes. While you may feel these types of shoes are meant to be worn raw, adding a thin layer of cotton can really make a difference in comfort and smell. No-shows are the best way to keep your shoes from stinking, and your feet from getting some bacteria-based issues like athletes foot. These no-shows from Jack Wills are 100% cotton and that's about all you need. You could opt for ones with some fancy designs, but the whole point is that they aren't seen so... Anyway, now that they are on sale, it's hard to find a good reason not to grab a pack of three.

Available on Jackwills.com for $9 (on sale from $19)

Buck Mason Slub Tee

via buckmason.com

via buckmason.com

Buck Mason is a newer American brand literally started by two guys in a garage in 2013. Since their founding, they have made some of the best men's closet essentials to come out of U.S. since Levi's did it back in the day. A great example of these essentials is their 100% slub cotton crew-neck t-shirt. As we have mentioned before, slub cotton is material that will have some texture to it, giving the shirt a better feel and more casual look. It is breathable, and it comes in this awesome forest green, or what they call "resin" that is the perfect transition t-shirt from summer to fall. Check these guys out, and try out a t-shirt for yourself. We recommend you wear this with dark wash jeans and some brown chukkas for a casual, yet classic look you can't go wrong with.

Mr Porter: Kingsman Line Statesman Pin

via mrporter.com

via mrporter.com

We are super excited for the new Kingsman movie and are currently counting the days (10 days and counting from the posting of this article). In preparation for its release, we give you the Statesman Lapel pin; a gold plated brass pin made in the UK, with a more ornate pin cap than you'd find at a tiebar.com style shop. While we are excited about the new line and would love to post most everything Kingsman, they are made by Mr. Porter, meaning the cost of the garments are fairly out of our normal price range. Take a look for yourself here. However, the Statesman pin is within reach (price wise) and made from quality materials. We suggest you grab it now and wear it to the premiere, we know we sure will.

Available on MrPorter.com for £85 (~$111)

Bonobos Jetsetter Bright Navy Wool Blazer

via bonobos.com

via bonobos.com

I know what you're thinking, Bonobos is known for their pants, not their blazers. This is true, however, their designers are really amping up their game when it comes to garments going above the waist. The Jetsetter blazer is 98% Italian wool and 2% elastane, making it soft to the touch and has a bit a give for your on-the-go lifestyle. There is no thread count listed online, but based on feel we are thinking it's in the super 100s-super 110s range. Normally we wouldn't go the off-the-peg route, but with the high arm holes, and mildly aggressive tapering, you won't need to tailor this too much to get a more custom silhouette. This jacket is perfect to sport on your way to the office or the theater, heck this would be perfect for any semi-formal, or nice night out. We would pair it with chinos or a pair of dark-wash jeans, collared shirt, and brown chukkas. Go impress your date, family, or friends and step up your game.

Available on Bonobos.com for $400, but we would budget another $70 for tailoring.

Saturdays NYC Condensed Circle Print T-Shirt

Saturdays NYC white t-shirt logo.jpg

We don't post a lot of T-shirts, mostly because going out in a T-shirt, while totally acceptable in the right setting, usually doesn't get you noticed, or doesn't make you different than any other guy at the bar. This T-shirt from Saturdays NYC however, is the perfect under layer for a bomber jacket, and perfect for the bomber we just posted on our Instagram (which you can also look at our review here). This T is reminiscent of the classic Gun'n'Roses circle logo, but much more minimalistic giving it a designer feel. Speaking of feel, it's 100% cotton, meaning it will wick away sweat, and be soft to the touch, which is perfect for when your game is on point and the night gets "touchy."

Kiehls "Ultimate Man" Soap

KiehlsUltimate_Man_Body_Scrub_Soap.jpg

Bars of soap, like tighty whiteys, seem like things only your Dad uses we know, but this bar from Kiehl's has changed our minds. For us, there are two main issues with bars of soap. Issue 1: The terrible residue left on your skin that makes your hand randomly stick to your arms as you attempt to wipe off the "silky" suds making you feel like you just added to the muck you were attempting to remove. Issue 2: the complete lack of exfoliation, making your cleaning process feel more like a cover-up rather than a real-deal scrub session. This bar from Kiehl's first and foremost smells like guys in the lab picked the manliest lemon they could find and shoved it forcefully into a mixture of oats and called it complete. This bar also has oat bran (yes, like the cereal) that provides just the right amount of exfoliant that doesn't feel like shards of glass but also won't make you wish you picked up your loofa. And finally, there is no sticky residue, which Steve, our tester, didn't think was actually possible in a bar of soap. So good job Kiehl's you win this round.

Thought Dauber Spot Organic Cotton Shirt

Thought short sleeve button down white.jpg

If your eyes are feeling a little spotty from looking at the solar eclipse today, this shirt may get confusing. These spots are actually intended to be on this shirt as it is a Dauber Spot button down. This short sleeve casual shirt from Thought in the UK is made from 100% organic cotton, meaning it is responsibly sourced and its manufacturing had a minimal impact on the environment, so you can feel good about buying it and wearing it. The bottom of the shirt is a more straight cut, meaning it wasn't made to tuck so if you are a tucker this one isn't for you. We suggest you wear this with dark color chinos or jeans to balance out the white.

United by Blue Big Wave Hat

If you have seen our Instagram in the past 5 days you have seen 2 similar hats put out by this Philly-originated eco-conscious clothing brand. This 5-panel, cyclist inspired hat is awesome, adjustable, clip-able, and durable.   Made from 100% organic cotton, sustainably sourced, you can feel good about the process used to make it, and you can also feel good because, with every item purchased, United by Blue pledges to clean up 1 pound of trash from a public park. They have cleaned up over 1 million pounds to date (that's a lot of L-Bs!). So look good with this big wave, and feel good knowing you supported a good cause doing it.

Available on UnitedbyBlue.com for $28

Full Disclosure: We do not make a commission off of the sale of this item. We just think it's great and you should know about it, just like all of the other products we feature.

River Island Paisley Pocket Square

While this shouldn't be your first pocket square in your arsenal, it could be your third or fourth. The navy, light blue, white, maroon, and orange give you a lot to work with in terms of matching a shirt and tie to go with it, the only colors that won't really work are green, black, yellow, and purple. What you need to know: this pocket square is 100% polyester, cannot be ironed, and should only be dry cleaned, so store it flat if possible. We suggest wearing it with a light to medium gray, ox blood (maroon), or navy jacket.

Jack Wills Ettington Crew Neck Long Sleeve

We are getting to the point in the season where the beach or lake is still an option for weekend plans, but the nights are starting to cool down. Making this Ettington nautical-themed long sleeve from Jack Wills the perfect top to keep you comfortable. It fits somewhere in between a shirt and a sweater, since it is fairly light with some added chunk, making it the right weight and sleeve length for a cooler night out on a boat, near a bonfire, or a step out to the local watering hole after 7:30 pm. Note: This shirt has a pretty thick neck hem that some may need to get used to, but it adds to the look so we'll take the 15 minute adjusting period as our cross to bear when throwing these sailor-inspired stripes on. We suggest wearing it with jeans, fitted khaki chinos, or solid navy shorts.

Available on sale at JackWills.com for $50 (marked down from $99)

Ted Back Drakey Diamond Print Shirt

They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, and these diamonds can be yours for at least the next 2 months. This casual button down from Ted Baker is designed to be untucked with a straighter hem around the waist and is made from 100% Lyocell, which is a more expensive semi-synthetic material that feels somewhere between cotton and silk and is wrinkle resistant and machine washable. The diamond pattern is just bold enough to be interesting but not overpowering making it perfect for date night or a weeknight out when paired with some solid chinos or khaki shorts.

Noah Marion Black Utility Belt

via NoahMarion.com

via NoahMarion.com

Noah Marion has been crafting handmade leather goods since 2006. With over 10 years of experience, he'd better know what he's doing, and by the looks and feel of it, he does. This black leather utility belt is handcrafted in Autin Texas and finished with a classic nickel pin closure. It's made in Noah's shop, where he makes leather goods with one hand and some damn fine espresso drinks with the other (not really, but that's how we envision it). The price of the belt is a bit steeper than we normally pick, but this belt is more of an investment, and it's handmade, so support the little(r) guy and lift one of these leather belts, your pants will thank you.

Available on NoahMarion.com for $120

Full Disclosure: We don't make a commission off any sale after you click BUY, but we think his products are worth your time, so check 'em out.
