If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that big plaid coats are very in this cold season, and likely will be for the next 2-4 years. The trend is just popping which means hopping in now is a smart choice if you want to be ahead of the curve when it comes to your friendly circles. This coat is 80% wool meaning it will keep you warm and will have a great feel and drape. The only down side is that it only comes in a regular sleeve length so if you are long or short it will take a little tailoring. Right now you can get it on sale in a 36R and 38R at Nordstrom, and at regular price in 38R, 40R, and 44R at East Dane. Unfortunately, J.Crew themselves are sold out.

Club Monaco Wool Cashmere Topcoat

We have jumped from PSL's to peppermint mocha's a little fast this year, so because of this, we are giving you the heavier stuff a bit early. Apparently Club Monaco got the same memo, and are having a sale on all of their jackets, including this awesome Wool Cashmere topcoat. The wool cashmere blend gives it a high-quality soft feel that is also durable enough for a sturdy topcoat. Complete with two flap pockets on the outside, lined interior pockets, and a welt breast pocket this jacket is designed like the classics with a more modern fit. While this topcoat is definitely an invest that is well worth it's cost, it won't go out of fashion any time soon (as it hasn't yet since the 1920s). Wear it over your suit, blazer and slacks, jeans and button-down, or a sweatshirt, it goes with it all.
